24h Performance is a unique experimental performance form. It is a hybrid mix between group performance, real-life in the city, an exhibition, music production, a demonstration, a festival, a survival experience, a temporary autonomous zone, film shooting, a climax, and poetry.

The production updates hamlet for a modern audience focusing on incorporating educational material surrounding the leaving certificate exam questions. This particular interpretation of the text focuses on the portrayals of mental health in the context of both history as of Shakespearean times and in the modern era. Back in Shakespeare’s day, many mental health problems were simply labeled as ‘Madness’, a key theme in Hamlet.

"Sleep No More tells Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth through a darkly cinematic lens, offering an audience experience unlike anything else. Audiences move freely through the epic story, creating their own journeys through a film noir world. Taking Punchdrunk’s work to Asia for the very first time, Punchdrunk International and SMG Live have co-produced a re-imagined version of the original production, now set in Shanghai in the 1930s. This play explores the role of virtual reality in the path to recovery from PTSD inflicted by experience in the military.
