Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire

The Void’s Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire was an immersive virtual reality experience that placed visitors inside the Star Wars universe. A clever wireless rig allowed guests to freely roam a large virtual space that is mapped onto a physical maze so that they could actually reach out and touch objects such as buttons, walls, seats, and droids.

Go to Blazes

“O, Rocks!”  In a meaty delicacy that ignites the senses, David Bolger’s evocative response to Ulysses Episode 4 probes dual realities to create a highly original dance performance installation of unsettling, voluptuous beauty.  Each audience member is taken on an intimate, deeply personal, multi-sensorial journey designed to linger long after they have left the landmark building of 42 Fairview Strand.

Lost Lear

All at once fast-paced and thought-provoking, Lost Lear lands us into the world of Joy, a woman with dementia, who is being cared for through a method where people live inside an old memory.

Following the national and international tour of A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, Dan Colley and his company have turned their sights on a very (very) loose adaptation of King Lear, examining the self and that part of us that’s inaccessible to others.

Katy Perry - Daises performance

Katy Perry's 2020 performance of her song Daises on American Idol uses extended reality and was a significant event in television due to its extensive use of many different shapes and angles. It was made during peak COVID-19 and so it was not viewed by a live audience. They used motion-graphic content and camera tracking in order to achieve this VR look.

PAAR

ULTRACHUNK

ULTRACHUNK is a collaboration between performer Jennifer Walshe and artist Memo Akten. At once surreal, spellbinding and deeply alarming, ULTRACHUNK is a live improvisational duet between a classically-trained musician and her AI doppelganger. Over the course of a year, Irish vocalist and composer Walshe engaged in a daily ritual of performing solo improvisations in front of her webcam.
